We invite you to join us for 3 days of fun, friendship, southern hospitality and amazing magic. We will bring together stand-up and stage magicians, sleight of hand artists, escape artists and magic collectors and historians to enjoy a new convention as a tribute to the most famous magician of all time, Harry Houdini.

When it comes to things to do in Danville, VA, the famous Historic North Theatre rates #1 for top entertainment and fun events. This 500 seat performing arts theatre with a full balcony is on both the national and Virginia historic registers.

This Danville landmark and tourist attraction is the centerpiece of the new Theatre & Arts District; it opened in 1947 and was beautifully restored with 3.5 million dollars in 2005. It closed in 2010 and after almost two years vacant, celebrity magician Wayne Alan www.WayneAlanMagic.com discovered it on the web and bought it. He is America's Only World Champion Illusionist. He is also the only magician in the world to own and operate his own historic theatre. It is one of a very small number of theatres owned by a private individual.

The 70 seat Carrington Gallery Mini Theatre upstairs was added in 2013. It is designed for smaller productions. The proscenium of the stage was once the entrance from the lobby of an old theatre in Norfolk, VA that was being demolished.

Like Alfred Hitchcock's famous mystery movie "The 39 Steps" there are 39 reasons why we are such a unique theatre: 1) In addition to being owned by a professional magician 2) there are 8 secret doors, passageways and rooms 3) architectural artifacts from other theatres that have been demolished, plus...

We have a large parking lot next to the theatre that can accommodate numerous buses. We can also provide a tour guide and other attractions for one or two day visits to Danville. We are a proud member of the Virginia Motor Coach Association.

Our goal is to entertain, amaze, uplift and inspire. We do that with live family friendly shows, productions, concerts and classic films which produce a theatrical sense of wonder designed to bring a smile to your face and heart. We are members of League of Historic American Theatres and National Dinner Theatre Association.
